Hey there - Happy Love Month!
Those of you who know me well know that Rose Tyler and the Doctor are my OTP. Those of you who don’t know me well just learned that nerdy fact. Those of you who are my mom are asking what an OTP is. (It stands for “One True Pairing” and it means the fictional duo that make up your favorite couple -- I’ll explain more later, Mom.)
An easy way to get me to cry is to ask me about the Bad Wolf. Bad Wolf is a narrative thread that runs through the first few seasons of Doctor Who as Rose Tyler sends a message to herself that eventually leads her to a moment unstuck in time in which she will save The Doctor, Get her heart broken, and save the world. She’s a Really Big Deal. That’s the SHORT version.
Bad Wolf is also a place -- namely Dårlig Ulv Stranden, the spot where the Doctor and Rose Tyler break all three of their collective hearts trying to say goodbye to each other.
Look, the waterworks have started can we just get to the candle part?
It’s with all of these emotions in mind - love, empowerment, passion, heartbreak, fandom -- that I bring you February’s scent, Bad Wolf. Orange and coriander seed mix mid notes of mimosa, rose water and madonna lily African violet. You’ll also catch notes of cedar wood, rosewood and musk. This warm scent is blended lightly with white nectarine and ozonic accord, white thyme, lavender and water hyacinth, on dry base of silvery green balsam, vanilla salve and neroli. It’s real complex. Like my Rose Tyler feelings.
